Optimal Export Settings
To ensure your file is print-ready, click Share > Download and apply these specific settings:
1 Document Sizing
Always use a Custom Size to account for the bleed. For a standard 3.5" x 2" business card, your canvas should be 3.625 x 2.125 inches. This extra space ensures your design reaches the very edge after trimming.
2 View Settings
Under File > View settings, enable Show print bleed. Extend your background colors or images all the way to this outer line to avoid any white gaps on the edges of your finished product.
Pro-Tip for High-Resolution Results
For the best results, always use high-resolution images that are 300 DPI or higher. Be especially careful when using images that contain text; low-resolution files can cause small fonts to appear blurry or illegible on the final printed card.
Color Space: RGB vs. CMYK
Your design appears in RGB on your monitor, but our commercial equipment prints using CMYK inks. While Canva Pro offers a CMYK export, we can convert RGB files for you. Note that colors may appear slightly more natural and less "neon" on paper than they do on a glowing screen.
